Why Am I Dizzy Rolling Over In Bed?

Do you feel dizzy or have a spinning sensation when changing positions in bed? The clumping of crystals in the inner ear causes Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Although the exact causes of this condition are unclear, age, trauma, and certain medications may contribute to its development. Our experienced team can reposition the crystals that cause BPPV into an area of the inner ear where they can be reabsorbed, effectively eliminating the dizzy sensation. The Dix-Hallpike Manoeuvre is used to diagnose BPPV, which commonly affects the posterior semi-circular canal in the inner ear. We offer a highly effective treatment called Epley’s Manoeuvre, which can resolve BPPV after just one procedure. While other manoeuvres are available for the two remaining canals, they are less commonly affected. If you’re experiencing symptoms of BPPV, we can diagnose and treat the condition effectively to help you regain your quality of life.
