Meet the people behind Farrelly Chiropractic

Dr Peter Farrelly

Peter Farrelly has been a chiropractor for over 38 years, having discovered his passion for chiropractic while studying engineering at the University of Melbourne. He graduated as a chiropractor from RMIT in 1985 and has since practised in Oxford, Japan, and Melbourne. In 1991, he opened his own clinic in Narre Warren, where he provides chiropractic care to patients of all ages, including children and the elderly. He also sees patients in his Caulfield North office.

As a proficient manual adjuster, Peter also uses low-force techniques such as Activator, Impulse Adjusting Instrument, Active Release Technique, Arthrostim, and Low-Level Laser. In 2021, he completed post-doctoral studies and earned the prestigious Diplomate of The Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine from the University of Bridgeport, a qualification achieved by only five chiropractors in Australia.

Peter is a longtime member of the Australian Chiropractic Association, where he served as an executive board member and Vice President of the Victorian Branch. He is married to Kathy and has five children. In his free time, he enjoys staying fit through high-intensity interval training, weight lifting, hiking, and long walks with his Staffie, “Rosie.” He leads a busy, healthy life and is a proud supporter of the Richmond Football Club.

Dr Sophia Navin

Having grown up receiving chiropractic care Sophia has always had a profound respect and admiration for Chiropractic’s role in influencing our wellbeing. She completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Chiropractic and Masters of Clinical Science at RMIT in 2012.

Sophia began her career at a multidisciplinary family and sports practice in North East Victoria. She became involved in caring for, treating and rehabilitating people with sports injuries, helping them maximise their performance.

On returning to Melbourne, Sophia joined her father’s practice in Camberwell, continuing to help patients of all ages to reach their health goals. She uses a combination of manual and low-force adjusting techniques.

She has undertaken further studies in Chiropractic Neuro-Rehabilitation and is interested in enhancing postural control via vestibular rehabilitation.

Sophia joined Farrelly Chiropractic in 2018.

Deb Fowle

Office Manager

I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of the Farrelly Chiropractic family for almost 14 years.

Farrelly Chiropractic is a great place to work. Peter, his family and the associates are very friendly, professional, thorough and approachable.

In the 14 years I have been here, I have witnessed many great things. The most rewarding part of my job is getting to meet with all our existing and new clients, not only having a chat and getting to know them but also knowing we are contributing to their general health and well-being.

I’m a very proud grandmother of 4 wonderful girls. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with them. I also enjoy cycling and walking and getting stuck into a good book.
