About Chiropractic

Chiropractic care mainly focuses on adjusting your body, especially your spine and pelvis. When you sit too long or in the wrong position, it can strain your spine. This strain might cause pain because it affects how your spine’s nerve endings work. A chiropractor’s job is to help make stiff parts of your spine move better, which can reduce pain. Nowadays, chiropractors understand more about how your spine controls movement.

When you visit a chiropractor, they use their hands or specific instruments to manipulate and adjust your spine. The primary objective is to help you move with less discomfort and more ease. Additionally, they may guide staying active and recommend exercises to aid in a quicker recovery.

Why Choose Us?

During your initial visit to our chiropractic clinic, your chiropractor will spend approximately 45 minutes with you. They will examine you thoroughly to determine the cause of your problem, whether it’s related to your muscles, discs, or joints. These tests will also help determine whether chiropractic care can benefit you and how long the repair process may take.

In line with current healthcare trends, routine X-ray analysis is becoming less common. Imaging is only required in a few cases, such as suspected degenerated hip, osteoporotic compression fracture, or progressive idiopathic scoliosis. If you need an X-ray, we will refer you to an X-ray centre, where you will be bulk-billed for the procedure.

Once we have established that your condition will likely benefit from chiropractic care and you agree to start, your practitioner will usually begin treatment on your first visit.

We understand that every patient is unique, so we offer various treatment approaches to meet your needs. Some patients prefer gentle techniques, while others prefer a firmer manual approach. Some prefer instrument adjustments or blocks. If you’ve had chiropractic care before, please let us know your preference.

During your first visit, your chiropractor will explain the procedure beforehand so you can feel well-informed and well-cared-for. With years of experience and ongoing training, our chiropractors have a diverse range of techniques at their disposal, including Activator, Arthrostim, Impulse adjusting, Gonstead, Drop Piece, Diversified, SOT, Low-Level Laser (LLLT), and Active Release Technique.

Our chiropractors have seen patients for a combined total of over 50 years. Our office staff, who have been with us for more than 15 years, excel in caring for patients’ children while the parents receive care.

Our clinic is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and techniques to ensure our patients receive the best care that meets their needs. Peter Farrelly has completed the prestigious “Diplomate of the International Academy of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine” with distinction, while Sophia has pursued post-doctoral studies in Chiropractic Neuro-Rehabilitation. Our practitioners exceed the Continuing Professional Development requirements of the Chiropractic Board of Australia.

We eagerly embrace the chance to work closely with your other healthcare practitioners and often receive referrals from many local medical doctors.

If we find another healthcare modality more suitable for your needs, we will refer you accordingly.

As participants in the Chronic Disease  Management Plan within the Medicare scheme, you can access up to five Medicare-assisted visits annually. After each visit, we will report our findings and treatment plans directly to your doctor.
